| I have a full 3" set-up and have the pleasure of swapping out my test pipes for cats every two years for emissions tests. I was smart enough to save an old 2.5" H pipe from my previous exhaust which helps with mating the 3" axle back. Either way I think you're going to end up with a bunch of exhaust leaks. Shouldn't have sold the OEM system until you were ready to do the full exhaust, starting with proper DP's. O personally wouldn't ditch the heat shield. It also helps to keep any debris from flying up around the driveshaft. Besides, if your exhaust is hitting that you have some serious fitment issues.
